Product Name: 3M™ Wetordry™ Paper Roll 401Q, 35382, 1000, 6 in x 50 yd, 1 roll per case
Product Description: 3M™ Wetordry™ Paper Roll 401Q is a premium abrasive sheet roll for sanding applications requiring a fine grit and a light touch, such as automotive wet sanding and paint finishing. A-weight paper backing is conformable for extra control, and fast-cutting silicon carbide mineral abrasive is waterproof resin bonded for durability.
Durable, Conformable, Waterproof
Featuring our waterproof material which 3M invented for automotive sanding, 3M™ Wetordry™ Paper Roll 401Q is durable yet flexible with a sharp cut that leaves a refined finish. A-weight paper backing adds flexibility for sanding contours and shapes. Silicon carbide grain is available in fine grades for a full range of non-aggressive sanding and polishing jobs on clear coat, plastic and metal, including areas that require hand compounding and for sanding dark colored paints. Resin bonding is waterproof for wet sanding or dry sanding applications. In collision repair this paper is ideal for leveling minor dust nibs, adjusting mismatched orange peel, light sanding on acrylic lacquer paint and other sanding jobs where burning or sanding through clear coat and paint are primary concerns.
3M™ Wetordry™ Paper Roll 401Q can be easily cut to fit tools or converted to other forms.
About Wetordry™
Our 3M™ Wetordry™ products are backed with a durable waterproof paper backing that supports wet and dry applications. Lighter weight than cloth and smooth rather than textured, the paper backing is preferable for lighter applications such as finishing and paint prep. At the same time, many such applications produce a significant amount of dust, clogging the abrasive points and creating an inferior work environment. These effects can be minimized by sanding with water to rinse dust away.
Our Fastest-Cutting Abrasive Mineral
Silicon carbide is a very hard mineral that cuts extremely fast. In fact, it is our fastest-cutting mineral abrasive. It features sharp points that fracture easily, resulting in freshly exposed sharp edges that produce a smooth, professional-looking finish.
More Effective Sanding for More Effective Operations
We put plenty of science behind our 3M™ Wetordry™ Paper Roll 401Q, and not just to improve your finished work. This paper makes the entire sanding process easier, from the durability of each surface during wet sanding to faster cutting to easier buffing. It’s another way that 3M helps auto body professionals get the most from their operations.
