Product Name: 3M™ Adhesive Transfer Tape 9472, Clear, 12 in x 60 yd, 5 Mil, 4/Case
Product Description: 3M™ Adhesive Transfer Tape 9472 offers excellent adhesion to a wide variety of textured surfaces, including LSE plastics and foam. It is often used as a general purpose transfer tape in a variety of surface bonding applications. This tape is the thicker version of our 3M™ Adhesive Transfer Tape 9471.
Engineered for Performance
We've designed 3M™ Adhesive Transfer Tape 9472 with your workplace in mind. It features a 5.0 mil thick adhesive which exhibits very good adhesion to a wide variety of substrates, including textured surfaces. The 60# densified kraft (DK) liner resists curling or wrinkling even in high humidity. The liner delivers added strength, resisting breakage for time-saving one-piece liner removal even when used for rotary die-cutting, high-speed processing and automatic dispensing.
Recommended Applications
- Graphic nameplates and overlays on metal and low surface energy plastic surfaces
- Bonding metal nameplates and rating plates
Adhesive 300 Offers a Consistently Strong Bond
3M™ Adhesive 300 features high initial adhesion and excellent humidity, water, solvent, chemical and UV resistance. This 5.0 mil pressure sensitive acrylic bonds exceptionally well to a variety of textured substrates, including low surface energy plastics, foams, fabrics and coated papers. The formulation gives 3M™ Adhesive 300 a consistently strong bond across a range of temperatures, up to 250°F (121°C).
Understanding Adhesive Transfer Tapes
Adhesive transfer tapes are rolls of pressure sensitive adhesive pre-applied to a special release liner. For application, the tape is simply pressed, adhesive side down, to a surface and the liner is peeled off. A variety of adhesive properties and liners are available to meet requirements for applications such as nameplate attachment to high and low surface energy plastics, appliance graphic overlays that perform in high temperatures, foam gasketing, web splicing, signs, posters, banners, point-of-purchase displays and more.
